7. The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation by the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof

There is no formal arrangement for consultation by members of public in relation to policy formulation or implementation thereof. As a business organization working on commercial lines, DSP is neither expected nor required to consult the members of the public in this regard.

However, with regard to measures for the general public, informal discussions are held with the people’s representatives including MLAs, MPs etc., to ascertain their views as well as that of the public whom they represent.

The organization also takes note of the public view as reflected in the local media and assessed through informal interactions of the management collective, especially the Public Relations department, with cross-sections of the residents of DSP steel township, and takes effective steps to ensure that these are given due cognizance while formulating and implementing scheme/ programmes that affect the common populace.
