It is only a unit of SAIL and as such there is no such separate board / council / committee.

With regard to EMD, SAIL there is no such committee in general. However, meetings are regularly held such as Environment Control Deptt. (ECD) Chiefs meeting; Corporate Responsibility for Environment Protection (CREP) meeting, Environmental Performance Review meetings etc. These meetings are held in plants on rotation basis. The main topics of these meeting are technical in nature which highlights on the improvement, maintenance and implementation of various pollution control projects.
