SAIL Nourishing Communities
BRINGING HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT
Nutrition is vital for ensuring the health and well-being of individuals, particularly children, who are in
their formative years. Healthy children learn better. Individuals with sufficient nutrition are more
productive and can pave the way to gradually dismantle the cycles of poverty and hunger. It is not merely
about filling stomachs; it's about nourishing futures.
SAIL, as a responsible corporate entity, recognizes the importance of nutrition in community
development. Under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, SAIL has undertaken several
impactful projects aimed at promoting nutrition among vulnerable populations.
Adequate nutrition is essential for physical growth, cognitive development, and overall health.
Children who receive proper nutrition are more likely to perform better in school, have higher
cognitive abilities, and grow into healthier adults. Unfortunately, malnutrition remains a significant
challenge, particularly in underserved communities. SAIL under the initiative of nutrition has taken a
lot of initiatives which include providing fortified flavored milk to school children through
collaborations with organizations like the NDDB Foundation and supporting the provision of
nutritious mid-day meals in partnership with the Akshaya Patra Foundation. SAIL has been at the
forefront of addressing the challenge of malnutrition.
Additionally, its collaboration with ISKCON for the "Food for Life Project" further emphasizes its
commitment to ensuring adequate nutrition reaches those in need. Through these initiatives, SAIL is
not only nourishing bodies but also nurturing futures, thereby making a tangible difference in the
communities it serves.
