Corporate Social Responsibility is embedded in the DNA of Steel
Authority of India Limited (SAIL). From the inception of our plants sixty
years ago, we have been committed to peripheral development. Our
plants have always aimed at making a meaningful difference in the lives of

the people living around them. The society has generously allowed us to
utilize their minerals to produce valuable steel, thereby enabling us to
contribute to improving their lives.

Throughout these years, we have diligently engaged in corporate social
responsibility activities, impacting lives in numerous areas such as sports,

education, nutrition, healthcare, and heritage preservation. We continue
these efforts today, as part of our enduring tradition, even when it is
formally recognized as corporate social responsibility.

This digital booklet chronicles our ongoing CSR initiatives, not to glorify
our actions but to inspire others. We hope that by sharing our work,

others may find areas they can contribute to and similarly make a positive
impact on the lives of those around them. This is not only our objective but
also the fundamental objective of any responsible organization.
